I can see why people just sell them as 'motors'.
The metals not that easy to get too & normally every things covered in a thick layer of oil grease tar & road dust...

I have scrapped them, if the metal plates that are inside the housing are bolted/screwed in, its a lot easyer, if they are welded in, its a pain to unwind the copper wire from it after you pull it apart.

Theres a nice coil of copper wire & a copper disc in the solenoid & some of the wire connection bolts are copper too.
I burn off the armature in a fire then cut the end of the windings off & then pull the rest of the winding out.
