Does anyone know where i can get rusted cans here in california-??

Looking for anything rusty, old cans, buckets, pails, etc. Do scrap yards take rusted items? Is there a specific place you know of where I can find anything rusted??? Need it for a project. Thank you....any suggestions are appreciated.

That's a hard one. I can't imagine finding anything old and rusty in Orange County. Everything there looks new, pristine and expensive !! You might have to take a drive toward the desert ! Or, check for the closest landfill and talk to the manager is all I can think of. Good luck.

exactly....not much character around here...i do remember seeing a bunch of old cans on my way through Arizona, was seriously considering going back there but i thought i would ask this forum...people here in orange county actually SELL rusted items, and get paid quite well, not looking to pay for it though...but yes the desert is a great place to start.. thanks so much

Is this for real? what kind of project are you doing that you need rusty metal? We on this forum sell our metal to scrap yards rusty or not. Maybe check with your local scrap yard, see if they can help.

I can't image it would be difficult to find something that is already rusty - most things metal around here have rust on them. What are you working on that you need something pre-rusted?

get a squirt bottle with water and salt. spray your metal. let it dry. repeat until desired rust amount is reached.
