I searched but didn't find anything. I went to advanced search and typed in trimming memory and didn't say anything about what I asked

THe easy reply to your question is dont trim ram. Its a money looser. If you want to trim anythig just do it on the finger cards not ram. Allthough the spread of price between finger cards and trimmed cards is making even trimming those a loosing proposition. HOPE that answers your original question.
I have to say the search function does not work great but yours is the first to ask that question that I recall. I think it may be more of how we post than the acutal search program. If you read Ewasted's thread in the buyers/sellers section you will note he will not buy memory that has had the fingers removed. There are many discussions about the removal of fingers from PCI cards. Mike.
