Well a couple of questions. What's the easiest way to trim memory and does anyone know how much the trimmed gold off the memory weighs by its self.

sell whole or lose money
Listen to what easy has to say on this one.
"Profit begins when you buy NOT when you sell." {quote passed down to me from a wise man}
Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked
I searched but didn't find anything. I went to advanced search and typed in trimming memory and didn't say anything about what I asked
I reply to what I ask if your going to be a ass about it.
THe easy reply to your question is dont trim ram. Its a money looser. If you want to trim anythig just do it on the finger cards not ram. Allthough the spread of price between finger cards and trimmed cards is making even trimming those a loosing proposition. HOPE that answers your original question.
I have to say the search function does not work great but yours is the first to ask that question that I recall. I think it may be more of how we post than the acutal search program. Using google with "scrapmetalforum" placed after what you are searching for sometimes works better.
If you read Ewasted's thread in the buyers/sellers section you will note he will not buy memory that has had the fingers removed. There are many discussions about the removal of fingers from PCI cards. Mike.
i put in a search yesterday for "electronics" with no (nadda, none) results shown, then went back to the main page, and noticed one of the main topics there is "electronics waste" ; )
