Hi, Thanks, Yeah the cost of melting it is alot but I did it mostly just for the fun of doing it and to have some ingots for sandcasting as well as gaining some space.Now that I have plenty I dont want to keep melting it down if its going to drop the value.A guy from another form ran samples for me through some kinda fo spectrograph thingy at a mill where he worked and said both alloys are 88% copper +/- 1%.Are scrap yards willing to preform some kind of assay.At 88% and no zinc they wouldnt have to worry about melted pennies thats for sure.
