I used to work at a marina as a kid and we used this stuff whenever there was water in the gas tank. I have used it numerous times since then and it works wonders!

i was reading this today and decided to show you how we capture the gas, hit the tank with the concrete punch about an inch above the bottom of the tank so you wont get any trash that settles, the picture should take care of the rest, so far its the simplist, easiest and fastest way we have found to do it, i also have another 5 gallon jug in case theres more gas
EDIT the hose is long enough to go under the car and reach the jug, i was just showing the tools we use not the actual placement

corycouch good information there and i couldn't help but notice the car sitting on rims is that how you scrap your cars after you remove the tires? You sit the car on the rims and strap it down?

yep, we got those rims from our very first cleanup job and have hung on to them, ive got 4 ton floor jack and it wont slide out from under the car after i take the aluminum wheels off so we just set the hubs down in those wheels, it works pretty well
EDIT pt i really like your website

Thanks its just something i put together one night while on the internet im thinking about changing the url name though because you might like it but google hates it lol.
I've chopped the fuel line right before the injector rail and hot wired the fuel pump and drained em that way before. On most GM cars pull up the rear seat and the wires to the pump run down thru the floor board right there, purple wire is the hot and grey is your ground

i made this video today showing the gas draining just a few seconds
we got 8 gallons
On most 90's GM cars there is a red wire with a female connector under the hood that is in the upper right corner if you are standing in front of the car. Connect that wire to the fuel postive batt terminal and it will manually run the fuel pump. Have used this trick several times to drain down tanks.
I been using junk yard gas for 5 years now and bright greenish yellow/ or yellowish and definitely have to go by smell. The varnish gas is bad smell but a coworker mentioned he and a buddy had a gas station with half a tank in the ground filled and sold it to Amish due to they use it for furniture stain. But I drain vehicles on a stand and use separate containers to use for the fluids.
