    New to scrapping...... please help

    So I've never scrapped before but I've seen it done, and I just moved into my own house
    the lady who sold me the house left tons of metal and everything ( mini bike frames, metal fence
    Posts pretty much a whole bunch of random metal) how do I go about sorting it I have tons of random screws bolts fittings prolly a five gallon bucket worth how do I go about separating my stuff I don't want to look like a fool when I go to my scrap yard if I pile everything I have in my truck and take it in wld That work


    Thank you any info advice or tips wld be greatly appreciated

    Use any kind of magnet and separate the aluminum and copper wire away from regular ole steel, separate the different metals for best payday. Cut any wiring loose from appliances. That's a good start. You can throw the stuff into the truck but keep it sort of segregated so its easy to separate and the yard will thank you.

    save those fence posts for fencing your new place ; )

    those screws, if you see any yellow ones in there it might be brass, use your magnet
