    What Kind Of Wire Is This?

    http://i1013.photobucket.com/albums/...uckss/wire.jpgI recently aquired a good bit of this stuff. It has an aluminum braided core, maybe is THHN?. It has the diameter of a quarter also how much can i get for this stuff a lb unstripped? Thanks!

    Au core will either be a number 2 at best and a number 3 wire at worse.

    High voltage do you grade 3 types of wire or more, and are the 3 types based on recovery? All of my yards are different, but knowing you do a lot of processing just trying to get your perspective. Thanks.

    Well, I am very different from a yard. I don't deal with the public. About the only public I will deal with are people from this forum and that is only because they seem to be a higher quality person than the general public. :-).

    All I grade is 2 grade. 65% or better is a one for me. This also must have 0 tin,au,etc. Only copper.
    A 2 for me is 50% or better and it can have tin,brass,etc.

    Agreed! Now that I see the picture that is worth a lot stripped. You are leaving a lot of money on the floor if you sell it as is.
