    Nickel Cadmium batteries?

A friend of mine in Nebraska has 35 of these Nickel Cadmium batteries. I took one of them to Denver with me a few weeks ago to see if the yard would take them and they did. So yesterday my buddy brought the remaining 35 of them out and the yard said no, that there was just too many of them. Can anyone inform me on what they might be from and if they are worth anything? Each one weighs 10lbs 10oz. They were all linked together but we broke them down into singles and threes.

That looks very similar to an Alcad ni-cad battery. They are used in solar panel installations.
I know lying is wrong, but if the elephant man came in now in a blouse with some make up on, and said, "How do I look?" Would you say, bearing in mind he's depressed and has respiratory problems, would you say, "Go and take that blusher off you mis-shapened elephant tranny?" No. You'd say, "You look nice... John""

We were told that maybe they were used with windmills but solar seems more plausible.

I bet you could sell those to someone wanting solar panels put up. I've never seen one, thanks for posting.
Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

Most solar batts now are usually about 50 lbs or larger. Nicad here fetches only 3 cents a lb. But they take them here in FL.
