    bare metal wires on the pc monitors

    They are the wires wrap around the tube and also in the monitor cable shielding Are these aluminum or copper tin? What do I sell these to the yard as?

    they are, cut them and look at the inside. Their just colored. Same with most of the degaussing wires

    they are tin coated, i keep them separate from my other wire just to make sure there is no confusion in what I have in my buckets.... and I make sure to tell them they are copper, otherwise they will give you aluminum price for it

    cut it and check..... I've only seen copper, don't know if they make aluminum or steel shielding

    Got a better question pertaining to this thread..there is brass on this wire as well..so y would it be considered #2.. price difference is roughly 80 cents lb..I have roughly halff of a 55 gallon drum of this wire n wondering if you guys really cut the brass off..seems to me there should be a different class for this wire other than #2 cu..thx

    That my friend is up to your scrap yard.... mine does not make me take them off. The other one I use probably would.
