New to scraping, is my scrap yard screwing me?

I am pretty new to scraping, today was a lucky day for me
I found a hot water heater took it to the scrap yard with some other aluminum and got $11 in steel and $15 for aluminum

On the way home I saw some guy tearing down his aluminum shed so I stopped and asked if I could have the scrap, he said sure and also had a metal door and 4 rims

Took it to the scrap yard and got $99.40

Here is a copy of my scrap receipt from the 2nd haul, are they paying me the right prices?

    um.........

clean cast AL $0.77 a lb ish
rims are not clean cast tho they go for around $0.65 a lb around here
with sheet coated AL (the shed) should be around $0.55 a lb
the steel or appliances should be 200 ish a tonne
with black (or clean tin) about 270
some yards do a mix tin price its half the diffrence
AL with iron up to 50/50 $0.17

prices should be within 10 % - 20 % of listed but they move up and down together.

    maybe in CAN

cast Al by me is around the $0.55 he got, and my shred steel is about the same maybe a penny more. the AL breakage or "dirty/irony" AL is not bad at $0.15 but i think i got $0.22 last time i took some in.

you're good. take more scrap to the yard and you will start to see trends rather than worry about daily prices. good start on the $100 load.
