I used to know a guy that started out with an old beat up pickup truck and a year later had a truck the size of a Chevy C60 with a 14-16 ft. bed. He paid cash for it and used to carry a wad of cash around in his pocket. He used to charge factories to haul off their pallets, haul them to his barn and repair them and resold to other factories that needed pallets. He would get 4-5 dollars each for them. New pallets run up to $35-50 each, so used is the way to go. Course that was way before the economy went down the crapper.Quote:
I keep hearing about a place that will pay $1 to $3 per pallet, but have yet to find the place.
The ones I see that haul pallets, that is all you ever see with them, but like I said, here, there is money to bad with them.
I am always seeing ads on craigslist.org for pallets between 5 to over 50 at a time, but not something I mess with right now, since I have no idea where a buyer is located.
I work in Juarez Mexico and half the buildings in the city are made out of pallets. I've been using them for 20 years to build stuff. Best part is they are mostly free.
good thread. great info and ideas. need to find a local source now.
thanks
