I'm going to dedicate this thread to my home made hydrauiic press for cubing appliances.
Bear with me this project is going to be built on free time whenever that comes about, any how as the project does make some progress I will post pictures along with details.
In all the pojects I have ever made never so much as once drawn up plans or blueprints and somehow everything I have made to date comes together flawelesly as if in a dream.
Should be an interesting project for all those who care to folllow along.
Couple of months back Jack wrecked an old excavator, this afternoon I purchased both of the large rams that lift the boom for $200.00 each, my press only calls for one but hey the price was right and I now have a spare.
Some of you may recall that I had purchased an old Hydra Mac Skid Steer with a seized engine a poject that I have abandoned in favor of the Little Dipper loader.
From the Hydra Mac I will cut it up for the 1/2' steel plate and use the hydraulic lift rams, my poject calls for two long and one short.
Also from the Hydra Mac there is a spool valves which will be part of the press.
Not far from me two lage grain bins with metal stairs and cat walks blew over last fall, the cat walks have 2' x' 10 " channel in 40 ft lenghts. I'm paying $300.00 for the scrap, should come out wioth some profit and some inventory for my project.
Now to find some 12 volt electric spool valves that could be incorporated into a wireless remote controled press that can be operated fom the loader seat.
This feature may never see daylight.
As it is now I plan on using the auxilary hydrualic supply off of the Little Dipper or add a quick change coupler into the truck mounted crane so that either could be used to power up the press.
Earlier this year I had a nice Kubota diesel but sold this to purchase the much needed parts to get that crane truck roadworthy and saftied.
Came home to find an overdraft charge to my checking account, first one ever and hope to never see another.
The project has begun.
