I want to scrap a combo radio/CD player (a little like a mini-boombox), but I notice a warning on the item which says: "CAUTION: Risk of electric shock. Do not open." This is a SONY personal audio system (Model ZS-S21P). It also connect to the old Apple iPods. I cut the cord off at least a week ago.
Is this just a company being cautious, or is there anything I need to be concerned about before scrapping it?
I checked postings in this
Scrap Metal Safety and Hazards area, but found nothing specific enough to answer my question. Thanks in advance.
