Safety Warning on Items: Risk of Electric Shock

I've never personally experienced it with anything other than a server UPS, but anything with a capacitor in it carries the risk of that capacitor discharging when you disassemble it.

There's a thread around here somewhere about some character electrocuting his twig&berries while disassembling a TV on the tailgate of his pickup.

I have probably scrapped close to a million electronics at this point and the only thing that even ever made a spark was a UPS (battery backup).....As always use common sense wear protective gloves and use tools with rubber handles
