    Is the metal strip inside the capacitor worth anything. Looks like tape paper lol

    Aluminium foil, highly oxidised & contaminated with capacitor oil & commingled with equal weight of paper.

    Its something that would take too much time and mess to seperate, but adds weight to 'Shred'.
