Look very similar to a projection screen tv I had a couple months back. Heavy bugger and a true pain in the ass to lift into my van.

I am with mike on this one. a sledge, wire cutters, socket set and a few screw drivers and you are in business. Normally there are 4 or 5 big aluminum heat sinks inside plus the mid grade boards and wiring. the small yokes in it contain very small amounts of copper, still i would take them. also, watch how you take the lenses apart, they contain some type of oil. I do not know if it is hazardous or not, but it surely makes a mess.
I wish you the best of luck Bear.

    Happy Scrapping

It's not my problem now, it's in the counties hands, and their responsibility. If I went down there and touched it, then it would become mine, and in lieu of a knowledgeable way to dismantle it and remove what toxins are there, leaving the shell intact, I'll just have to pass, and let them take care of their own business

I just got done tearing one up, and once you figure out which screws do what on the base, then three little 'modules' will slide right out for leisurely stripping at home. And the brackets holding the big mirror in the top half were some pretty heavy duty aluminum... probably a pound apiece.

Knowing what I just learned, I could probably have one apart, stripped of all I'd take, and buttoned back up for easy trash haul-off in under 10 minutes. That said, I don't know if I'd haul one home again..... I have ho idea where I'm going to throw away the carcass. I'll strip them where I find them, and button them back up from now on.

I haven't been down that road lately, but the last time there was a dishwasher(plastic of course) beside it. Since getting my cordless drill batteries rejuvenated, I might go give it another look

It'll have to be after I get caught up on some other stuff though

Says RCA there, but I didn't get a size or model number, year or nothing
Afraid to try and drag it out with a rope, probably bust the tube all over the place, not sure if I could even get it up into the truck. Any suggestions?

I normally take the empty top half off and take the bottom half, only because it is mostly wood waste, and that can be burned in the bonfire.
