    Railcar and Locos

Hi, I was curious at to where I might find locations that cut railcars and/or locomotives? I am trying to find sources of railcar parts such as wheels, couplers etc.

Have you tried contacting local railroad companies?
Make sure you get paperwork with any of this stuff you buy. They are cracking down on theft of railroad stuff. My friedn got some scrap from csx a couple years ago and was given a notarized letter and all the scrap was marked.

Thanks for the info. We buy reconditionable parts and then repair and sell to the rail industry.

Azcon Corp, on the southside of chicago. They they cut up old railroad equipment. I friend of mine bought an old control stand (dashboard) out of a locomotive from them about 20 years ago. He has it on display in his basement
