    hermetic compressor scrap

I'm looking for a good place to find scrap hermetic compressors. Usually friends give me refridgerators and dehumidifiers now and then but its not enough. I love sutting these things open and getting the copper, its too easy. Where is a good place to find crap refridgerators besides craigslist. Like when sears takes away your old appliance, where do they take it? Can I get them from there? Preferably where I could get them with the lines already cut, I don't care what they did with the freon, but them knowing that I will be cutting them may lead to issues. Any ideas.

Check with appliance repair companies, HVAC companies and places that recondition used appliances. Do expect to have to pay for them to get a steady stream of compressors coming in.
