The Cleaning Method of Scrap Copper Wires

Firstly, you must use a wire stripper to strip the plastic coating from the scrap copper wires. If you have a lot of wires, you may need a wire stripper machine to raise the work efficiency. During the stripping process, you must avoid damaging the copper wire conductor, for it will cause electrical danger if reused.

Secondly, you are required to prepare sandpapers to remove the corrosions present on the wires. You can do according to the following steps: wrap the wire with the sandpaper, then move the sandpaper and down the wire smoothly, which may take some time to remove all signs of corrosion. During the cleaning process, you had better wear a pair of rubber gloves and put a face mask to protect your eyes and face.

At last, create some amount of cleaner mixed with vinegar and salt in a container. Put the scrap wires into the container gently and move them several times. You may need a scrubbing pad to remove the stubborn stains. Keep waiting until sings of tarnish and dirt removal. Take the wires out of the container until they shine.
