Hanging out in Panama City Beach this week, unfortunately the week went by fast and going home in the morning
. One thing that always strikes me is the unbelievable amount of aluminum cans that get tossed out. Just at the place we stay on this little stretch of beach it's unreal and I'm sure that's repeated at most every other site along the strip since they don't allow bottles on the beach.
We saw a old dishwasher that had been removed from one of the units here that sat for a day or two and man, it was hard not to strip it. I figure we would have done them a favor.
Anyway, even with prices down to $.50 or so a pound, that's a boatload of aluminum....I wonder how I could turn next time into a working vacation and write it off? Hmmm....and since I'm thinking about it now, that ought to be some kind of business expense...maybe.
Also plan to bring the old man metal detector next year (I've never seen anyone with one except this old dude who used to be here most every year .... that, and I'm rapidly becoming an old dude myself). I've never seen anyone find anything, but who knows? Maybe a way to kill a little time early one morning after these folks have partied most of the night.....
Peace and greetings from PCB!
