U-Haul?.......
u-haul would be the choice, but i aleady had a problem once i rented a 26ft box truck the biggest one they have, and i went to OHIO because i had a business selling military items overseas (clothing, shoes) and such, anyways so i was on my way to Ohio and the cop made me stop at the weight station?!?! and i didnt even have any weight i was empty! yeah in a rented vehicle i got 2 tickets totalling about $1,200.00, and i almost got arrested cause i was giving the trooper shhhiiittttttt, my brother stepped in and cooled the situation down, so renting is an option maybe a last resor and besides .69 per mile from jersey to sc and back is about 1000 miles, that alone would be 700$.. i get free mileage at AVIS but not for trucks only sedans... i was thinking to see if it would be worth 2 hire a logistics company but again i dont think it would be worth it.....

1200! Geez, did that eat up that trips worth or what? I wonder how much an independent semi driver would charge for something like that if you went with him. A long livestock trailer would work as well and that wouldn't be charge a gas/mile fee. Just thinking aloud here.
Yeah tell me about it the uhail place never told me i needed a cdl out of state, i don't know it was a clusterFcuk I had to call and argue that it was a rental and in nj for a 26ft box truck you do not need a cdl i also asked before i went they said i was fine.... needless to say i have not paid that 1200 as of yet, i send a letter to the checkpoint and told them to kiss my u know what.... lol but every so often i get a letter telling me to pay, my sisterinlas is a sheriffs officer and she said not to worry about it cause they cant do much.... but no it didint eat up the whole profit i actually made afew k on the order it was for 16 pallets filled with gaylord boxs of boots, bags, all types of accessories for marines and airforce, so even with the BS it was still an amazing haul, and i actually purchased it off www.govliquidation.com lol.
Try www.uship.com people bid to make the deliveries you give a pick up place and a destination and how much you want to pay and let the bids pour in people set up whole routes to move everything from dogs to excavators and you can get the best prices. i have hauled a few loads for some people off of that site.
i checked out that site, they charge a hefty price i heard if the load is big its cheaper but man these surplus sites people go crazy for the electronics and mojority dont know that when they p urchase the CPU'S they dont have the hard drive and most all are missing the ram, so besides a few odds and ends its not work half the money they put down on them...
Be VERY careful using UShip. Much potential for getting ripped off. This site is for arranging the transportation of goods. Before deciding on a person, check them out carefully. If they claim to be nationally approved for goods shipment, they will have a DOT number. Ask for it and check it out on the US government site - SAFER. Also, ask for a copy of their cargo insurance (not vehicle insurance). Transportation of household goods is a whole separate licensing and insurance issue.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
Do you e-scrap the hard drives or just take them to the yard?
I'll usually put them in a dryer or something to add weight to them.
