KNow a plumber? Become his friend!

    Yes yes..yet another..Network post from your's truly!

I like to harp on the Networking thing, always do it, you never know where it may lead.

I talked today to the company that replaced my water heater last year, an I'm now their guy for all their water heaters. They will drop off any that here on my end of the sandbar. I had to promise to come pick up any others from job sites if I wanted those to. Works for me. My part of the sandbar is rather small...so gas ain't no concern.

So a simple question is now going to lead me into getting between 20 or 30 of the buggers every 2 weeks or so. They have quite a surplus. Now mind you this company is small, but they do good business down here because their awesome at what they do.

Don't hesitate to tell people what you do, cause that one person you don't tell, could be someone sitting on a bunch of scrap just waiting for you. No it's not ewaste, nor is it piles of non-ferrous, but it's a good chunk of change, an they won't be removing the copper off the heaters, thats my job. Ha ha!

They have a standing invite to come an enjoy a Sirscrapalot Grill an Cooler session this summer, since they refuse to accept any money for the heaters.

So there ya go folks..talk to you plumbers, your direct tv guys, you cable guy, any body who generates scrap is who you want to know about you an what you do!

I focus on ewaste, but don't think I won't jump at something like this when it presents it'self.

Sirscrapalot - You can't touch the stars, if you don't reach for them. - Me..far as I know.
