When in dout call a scout

Some months are what I call dry months. When I don't have to walk around things in my garage its a dry month. So what do I do, called everyone I know. I didn't ask them to give me the stuff. I gave them a job.

Here's how it works. talk to 5 friends, they go 5 different directions, You stay home and tear down as it comes in, By the end of the week take it in and split it all 5 ways. It really does work. And I would rather be stuck in the garage then out chasing.

Is there much profit in that? For me collecting junk is easy. It's the hours of breaking down tons of junk that gets me.

You might also print yourself some cheap business cards and start passing them out to family and friends and networking with them. Friends know friends know friends, etc.etc. Cheapest advertising you can get. Just ask us how, one of the veterans will help you.

your right IdahoScrapper collecting junk can be easy. I like breakdowns, that why my friends let me do it lol. Now to your question: Is it profitable? To me yes. I dont have to leave my house, spend money on gas, my kids are not stuck in the truck, and I know how to break it down fast.

i would have to agree... i do this with a friend of mine. he has no clue what he's doing with a breakdown or what to pull out of things, and despite me trying to teach him everything i can to help him out, he just refuses to learn. So, when he gets stuff, he brings it to me for cleaning and breakdowns and i split the ticket with him.

it sounds like it could get a little crazy going 5 ways, but hey, if they generate that much more scrap, i guess everyone would be happy... make it happen!

that is what i am wondering, some people i know would want in and only hustle up 1 thing a day and then be mad when they git their "fair" share, fair being a little less than the other guys. sometimes a bad week is ok but they would milk it. and kill profit for everyone else, so other people get mad and do not reach their full potential, want to lay up all the time. maybe i just do not know reliable people.
