    Sports Authority

Hey I don't do much talking because I am trying to learn as much as I can but I work at a sports authority here in Florida and if you can give them a call, most stores are removing an aisle from the store and it's going strait out the back of the stores so give them a call. Roughly 1700 lbs for the taking. Hope someone scores I got mine today. Gonna need a serious trailer and some help.

I called a local store and they told me to call the corporate office, which I did, but they are now closed for the evening. I'll try again in the morning. Thanks for the heads up!

Usually it's up to the store manger, at my store but they are all different depending on district mangers but worth a shot. Let me know how it goes. They are also tossing out stuff quite often so even try to make a contact for future pickups

The compactor is cardboard only, they should have dumpsters for trash, ask for a store manager if not then speak with the assistant managers and see what they say. All metal sometimes goes in if it's broken racks big stuff sits outside. I hold all my stuff in receiving until I'm off otherwise it's gone, have seen about 4 different guys come around back many times while our doors are open.

    Hey Bull,
Thanks for the tip! Just wanted to ask how do you think would be the best way to approach a manager about it? Reason I'm asking is that I haven't done the big leap yet into the chain store world.

    Thanks
    Joe

I got some nice work type benches from old navy a couple of months ago. They put the folded cloths on them and they roll. Sold a couple as work benches.

Happy I'm in south Tampa around valrico.
As far as approaching managers, they are all different. Some are nice some are outright rude but hey that's the world we live in. But as far as approaching them just say something along the lines of I am into metal recycling. Was wondering if you guys happen to get rid of any items such as shelving or fixtures often. And this week you can just say I heard some stores were changing scenery and was wondering if you were throwing anything out. Hope this helps.
