    Metal inside of a television

I broke down several tvs this week and got a variety of different looking metals from some of them. some have copper, but others have something else. Some is green, some is red, some is yellowish. Any idea what these different metals are? or if they're really worth much of anything?

Thanks for any help you're able to give

Sorry the photo's kind of blurry, but you get the idea. The one on the far right is copper. The one second to the right is not copper I think, but kind of a similar color.

The stiff circle (second from right) should be aluminum. The other ones are either aluminum or copper - I file them rather than cut them, it's easier to see that way for my eyes.

The wire inside the tvs is either alu. or copper. You can usually tell by weight. Alu is a lot lighter than copper. I usually find more alu in the bigger crts than in the smaller ones. But, ya like they mentioned earlier cut or file the wire and see what the color is. You should be able to tell the difference.

The wire inside of tv's as said above is either aluminum or copper. Just check for white or red. With the copper (depending on your yard) odds are it will be number 2 copper. It has a plastic schlack coating on it to prevent electrical shortages. :P Hope that helps.

thanks for all the input. sounds like basically if it's silver on the inside then it's aluminum. if it's copper color on inside well... then it's copper.
