The blade sometimes can be reused. If not, a lot of yards will take it as prepared(short) steel

You don't, too much work for too little payout.

I always hear this and it gets me irritated no offense but I'm pretty sure most of us aren't big enough to the point where we're busy the entire day, I make the most out of my days and work about 18 hours a day. If there's nothing to do I clip Xmas wire or break down computers or clean aluminum making a little money is better then making no money if you have the time, it's a different story if your a big operation and your paying guys to do your work

Where I am at, I have lots of time and not much product. I can't afford to buy things to scrap - everything has to be free. So any dollar I make goes into my House Downpayment fund.

I found a Harbor Freight Store near me, and spent a few hours in there with my MIL. There was an amazing sale going on and I had a hard time narrowing down what I could buy based on the cash I had available. I did finally get some gloves and wood chisels. Also a screw set for electronics - sorely needed. I hate drilling out tiny screws and having metal slivers everywhere.
