    Ford Diesel Cats

Have a guy asking $100 on these cats (if that's what they are, and not pre-cats). Both are Ford F350 6.0 Diesel. 2005 removed at 75K and 2004 removed at 87K.

    What are they worth?

Tried to figure it out from this thread, http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/scrap...converter.html but still can't determine for sure what I am looking at. I haven't gone to look at them, so I don't know what numbers, if any, they have on them.

They are Junk Diesel..... Any Diesel pre 2007 is junk, they do not contain any platinum they are Rhodium Converters.... Worth About $30 Each if you can find a good buyer... most places pay between $15-20...

Thanks! Glad I didn't go get them. Probably explains why the guy keeps re-posting and not getting a buyer.

FYI...keep an eye out for the two cats off of late model Dodge diesels. They are worth about $600-$700 for both. They are the bare bright of cats.

What do you mean? Because late models are the ones that are worth more money as opposed to older cars. They have significantly more palladium, plantinum and rhodium in them.

To throw out a basic analogy: Wouldn't you pay more for a 24k gold ring then an 18k gold ring because it contains more pure gold? Same concept, different element.
