Why does everything have to be so dang complicated? Peel it off, strip it off, whatever. So your hands get a little sticky, boo-hoo. Soap and water can do wonders. If that doesn't work, rub a little dirt in your hands and the stickiness will be gone.
Sirscrapalot- the only cold, wet white stuff i will bring is for the cooler
Billygoat- havent run into a scrapper yet that complains about dirty, sticky hands. Just trying to maximize time to maximize the moolah.

I score one side exposing about an 2 inches. Then I grab one of the exposed wires from the perimeter, cut it and pull, all while holding the cable. The wire coming out actually cuts throught the rest of the tape exposing all the copper. Anyone else do this?
I use a pair of kline tech knife.. and put one end onto a clamp.. and hold the other end of the wire after you've cut it in half, and just slide the knife right on down the wire, works great no need to freeze or leave out in sun, freezing it will make it brittle and make a bigger mess, leaving it out in the sun, will make it all gummy and sticky..
just a little elbow grease and Its come off pretty easy, I don't alot of them like this, and found it the easiest way for me.
