Had an idea for stripping degaussing cable after reading about ballasts from light fixtures. It was mentioned that freezing the ballasts to harden the glue so when you take them apart the glue should be brittle and easy to smack with a hammer to separate it. Going to try to freeze a few cables to harden the tape. Then take a hooked blade in my box cutter and put a slice along the length of cable and then peel out the copper from the tape. If the glue on the tape is brittle it should pull out pretty easy. Any thoughts or am I just spinning my wheels? I have a 96 quart tote of these that I have been putting off doing to since they are a pita. Got a few in the deep freezer now and should be frozen in about an hour.
