    Google would be a good place to start. Most online auctions are a rip off, prices go too high but if your carefull once in a while you can get a good deal. It might be better to find some auction houses in your area and talk to them about hauling off all the crap I mean scrap that they can't sell. The key to this is to go by and pick up the scrap every week so they see that you are dependable. You can also do the same thing with thrift stores.
