It's realy not cost effective to do.
We buy electronic scrap, Gold Karat scrap, gold filled, refined gold, silver and many other item's.
I take a chisel to them real quick or a grinder get it somewhat clean and throw it in with my #2 they never seem to *****, I don't have a better answer.
in my humble opinion:
if they are all copper with solder joints, it's not worth it, just sell them as #2 copper
if they are aluminum and copper, it is worthwhile on some to beat the copper plate off
after working a pile of them with a hammer and chisel on a bench vise, you will quickly learn which ones aren't worth the effort

these are4all 1/2 lb and larger server sinks. I use the torch to remove the alu fins. I like bright and shiney, just thought there may be an easy way. I get #2 with the coating on so guess any thing else is a waste of time . thx
