---Tips on how to make your SMF thread more effective.

Hello, here is a short list of tips on how to make your SMF thread more effective.

    1. Make sure you put your thread in the proper SMF section.
    2. Make your title relevant to what you are writing about (This has been discussed many times even by admin).
    3. Include pictures and/or video to your thread to increase interest and understanding. (For pictures, click the the "Insert Image" icon and cut and paste the "Direct Link" from a photo of your's on photobucket.com. For videos, click the "Insert Video" icon and cut and paste the youtube link.)
    4. Add as much much detail as you can w/o being redundant.
    5. Try to anticipate any questions that might be asked and answer them in the first post of the thread.
    6. Reread your thread out loud and make any changes you feel appropriate to the spelling, content, or layout.

That is all I can think of for now. I hope this can help some of us to be more effective in starting threads. Im sure there are other tips out there and feel free to post them here.

    thanks
