I ended up buying the stripper and the scale recommended above and they have changed my outlook on a lot of things. I am now much more willing to strip smaller gauge wire and have a much better handle on what is worth my time and what is not. I can't believe I waited so long, it's great feeling like I am being more productive with my time. Next trip to the yard I am going to compare numbers and see for sure, but I think I have made my money back already.

    Thanks for all the tips!
