    Chandelier metal content.

I found an ad for a free chandelier on craigslist. What are the odds that it's actually made out of brass and not simply plated/painted? It's nearly 30 miles away so if it's not brass it's not worth driving out there. I emailed them and asked them to do the magnet test for me but who knows if they'll bother...

Anyone on here ever scrap a chandelier before?

Kind of a long drive for one item not knowing what the metal content is. If you could get a name on it, then you could try to google it and find out what its made of. Even if it is brass its still a long drive for $1.80#
