Is there a silicon i386 and silicon amd? I have a guy that is selling 26# of i386 but he said 3# are ceramic and 23# are silicon. Never heard of silicon i386 or is it just me. If there is a silicon i386 is there any value in them or shall o say how much value is in them Thanks in advance

I wonder if he is talking about the AMD ones. Lesser value but not sure exact price.

If it's a processor it's going to have some kind of value. Offer him 205.00 and go from there. If you are not 100% sure on what they are I'd keep my offer low until I confirmed a price with a buyer. It could be a 7-9.00 processor. The ceramics are easy, Ewasted is paying 37 a pound x 3 = 111.00. I would offer 26 pounds x 5.00 = 130.00, 3 pounds x 25.00 = 75.00 for a total of 205. That way I would be making some money regardless of what the 26 pounds ended up being.Originally Posted by unitsngold

i disagree with paying ceramic rate without gold pins sticking out, if there are not gold pins sticking out of them id be hesitant to even pay $5 pound on those
the fact that these are integrated cpus tells me theres probably not pins, this is an area where knowledge, research and experience is needed to accurately determine value
its nice to see some on here asking questions before they buy, not coming to us after buying with a huge loss, thats what the forum is for, if in doubt get pictures and post them here so we can help
If these integrated cpus are new they may have resale value much higher than scrap value. So that is something to look into also.

How do you know from his post that they may be integrated? It would be interesting to see what this guys wants for his chips. Usually when I see someone with that many chips they know they have some value and are trying to get more than they would on ebay by selling them locally.
This guy has a scrap yard that is why he has so much I'm buying about $10,000 worth of e-waste from him. So either way these i386 are pretty low in value if they popped them off the motherboard due to no pins. And they will only have decent value if they are new. I thought ceramic i386, i486 were going for 135#
