Thanks. It's a nice truck I like it alot. You know the tundra is built like a 3/4 ton already so technically they are in the 3/4 market... Wish they would make a diesel already. Maybe soon since Nissan is giving the Titan a Cummings next year. If I was still time scrapper I would get a 96 dodge 3500 with a 12 valve Cummings in it with a manual tranny. Done deal

2000 ford ranger with the smallest engine possible
its great cuase im usually not hauling and mostly do freeway miles (bike the streets) i check my odometer after filling up and seem to avg25mpg

that being the case i still do wayyyyyy more hualing and way less driving than all my other truck owner buddies

1991 f150 for scrap work usually. 287k miles, old and ugly, but always gets it done. My 2008 f250 4x4 diesel is there if i need it, but the 6" lift is very impractical for some trailers

Love the cummins! but I am not a dodge fan, shame to put that gem of a motor in that truck!

haha and yeah thats what i meant with the tundra, its already like a three quarter ton soooooo, if they actually marketed a 3/4 ton, itd be a 1 ton right??

I might have to get a dodge with a cummins soon....i love my b2600i, bulletproof motor and 4x4, but sometimes she just doesn't have the snort I need

#1 truck: 2003 GMC 2500 Duramax/Allison std. cab, pulling an 18' 12K skidloader trailer. Bought new, 85K miles.
#2 truck: 1997 F250 Super Duty 351 gas with side tool boxes and ladder rack. Also set up for the trailer. Bought used, 100K miles.
#3 truck: 1994 Toyota std. cab pickup. 180K miles. More of a daily driver but good for curb shopping.

a guy that drives and owns it all...so when it comes to diesel motors which do you prefer when working/towing? the fords or the cummins?

2000 Dodge Ram it's a quad cab with the off road package...5.9 gasser. It's lifted which means I have a hard time with it cruising my route, BUT it does get 13mpg all the time everywhere I go...and that's not bad for a big dodge. What it can do is the farm and jobsite scrapping, I can get to piles and places that nobody else can and thus I get the payout when they don't so there is that.
