That is brown solder mask. Gold plating would be yellow, and large areas of plating are usually found on boards from satellite or military equipment.

Those boards are both in the large socket class of motherboards.

some buyers are putting all colored boards in the "chinese" catagory, and some just the small socket ones.

I have heard that some are even separating large and small socket green boards

Thanks, folks. I pulled a Pentium 2 slot-1 CPU off of this one. I'll send it in with my other boards when I get enough for a shipment. There is so many gold plated prongs on here as well. It will be interesting to see what it goes for.

That should go as a high grade board. As explained to me recently if the boards are colored( purple, red, black, blue) they are classed as Chinese boards. If the boards green but the connectors for ram,pci slots are multi colored they are also classed as Chinese boards. Yes some places are even separating small and large socket green boards.

If that board gets downgraded because its not green then I would start to think about depopulating them, sell as low grade mobo and start collecting the gold plated pins. I am now depopulating all colored boards that I get and going to sell or refine the pins.

EWASTED told me that these are considered the cheap foreign boards that just go in with the red and blue.
