loading 1/2 ton gaylord from residence

Thought my arrangements would be different, but now i have a situation and would like some ideas.
I have a gaylord of escrap in my driveway which is dirt and need to load it onto a truck. The truck has a liftgate, but i need help getting it onto the gate. Driver has pallet jack, but i dont think that will help since its on dirt.
So far im thinking of trying to push it with a truck mounted snow plow.
Anyone ever dealt with this situation or have advice. I stacked 2x4's underneath the pallet to elevate it.

do you have a tractor? they make a fork attachment for a 3 point hitch that would only have a foot or so of lift, probably costs a couple hundred but you would have it

How far do you have to move it onto the lift gate? If you have a piece or two of plywood that should do it.

Truck can back right up to it, but its a semi and not sure if the driver will back underneath it or not.
I was thinking 2 sheets of plywood in front of it so a pallet jack might be used, but just want to be sure that would work before i arrange a pick up.

Old-school rigging: With a few pipes to use as rollers on top of a sheet of plywood you should be able to push it by hand. Water pipe, conduit, pvc or even round logs would work.

what a great idea! I've lifted stuff onto buckets before the final lift to my truck but this is even better I think!

and if all else fails... obviously last resort... unload the box, put the gaylord in the truck, and reload the box. not trying to be insulting, just saying what some of us tool and vehicle deprived folks might have to do
