Plastic ones are going to be a bit pricey. Check wit h a scrap yard and see if they would sell you a couple of the cardboard ones. Much cheaper and if ypu fill it they would probably give you an empty in return when you bring in your materials. Also if ypu have a paper recycle in you area they may be willing to sell a couple as well.

try grocery stores, greenhouses, etc...I get these for free. They are glad to have me haul them off, so they do not have to break them down, and get rid of them. Have some collecting power supplies and low-grade, neatly tarped and under my carport.

You can check with your county highway dept. They get their paint (for striping the county highways) in 250 gal nonreturnable plastic gaylords. They might be glad to give them to you.

I use the plastic containers that are inside metal cages that ag chemicals come in. As we are currently spraying Roundup, I took 5 just yesterday from the farm. I cut the top out with a sawzall, take them to the car wash and rinse them out. They work excellent for us.
