    Cleaning copper pipes or wires

I found out a few days ago by accident that lysol toilet bowl cleaner cleans copper once applied. The lysol probably doesn't work on heavy varnishes or coatings applied to copper motors but will take off any black tarnish marks.

The small increase in price won't begin to pay for all the Lysol you would have to buy, maybe break even at the most.

I had an explosive situation in the bathroom. Actually my mom spilled some in the sink which has copper in it. The lysol works better than this copper cream stuff we have and is cheaper by volume. After I posted this I was looking at my last receipt from the yard and it wouldn't be worth the 30 cent price difference. Sorry guys, but I'm still new to scrapping.
