Something's not right here

So I'm calling lots of auto body shops to find scrap rims and lead batteries -- some shops have them but here's the problem!

My yard offers me 11$ per rim, the auto body shops are getting twice as much so I'll offer them 5$ and they say, "I'm getting 20$ right now, you're way off." How do I get around this? (Or wheres a better place to find them.)

I take them off the cars I scrap
They average between $12.00 and $14.00 per rim at my yard
My yard pays by weight , not per rim

I would be THRILLED to sell them for $20.00 a pop

60 something cents a pound seems right around here for a scrap yard...

simple they are probably basing the ## on core charges when they get a onther rim or battery you can"t fight with that the manufactorer has more skin in than you look else where
