Office Cubicles...What to do with them

I removed a bunch of cubicles this week and i was planning on just scrapping the dividing walls but the actual work desk and 1 filing cabinet are in really good shape. It's just the work desk and a filing cabinet on 1 end so the other end would have to be suppoted by something else...like another filing cabinet or screwed to a wall. Any other thoughts on what to do with these?

Post them on craigslist in the business or Commercial category. Since its free to Post there put an ad in the furniture category too. If you price it right i bet it will sell, you might have to hold on to them for a little While, But i have Had good SALES with items like that on CL.

Or you could make a kick ass lemonade stand..haha!

Seriously tho..I'd try your local CL as Metal said. Can't hurt to try.

Sirscrapalot - I had a quote, but I decided to put this here instead.

Thanks fellas, i am running a CL Ad right now but I think your right about having to sit on them for a bit. I got them for free "just my time in them" I have over 40 of them so for $10 each i could make a good profit. If they all sell...lol

Try calling office furniture supply stores. I really don't like the amount of space that stuff takes up, so I usually sell to them so I don't have to hold on to it.

look up the brand name on them and try finding a dealer of that brand. Are they all as you described the one to be? Some folks might want just the panels to use partitioning spaces etc

Heck if you were closer I'd have a use for a couple of them.

Good luck on getting them sold!

I have done a lot of the same brand ones, usually I scrap the walls, strip the fabric panel with one hammer claw and pull takes about 10 seconds a side. My yard gives me dealer clip for the clean frame thats left. The fabric is usually glued to a smaller frame and these take about 30 seconds a side to cut the fabric away.(these have fibreglass panels and are itchy as hell. These smaller frames go for shred.

The desk tops I try to give away to furniture dealers or toss them.

The file cabinets are usually worth $25 to furniture dealers in my area if they are in good shape. You can usually sell 2-4 a month on craigslist/kijiji for $60-$80 depending on condition.
