Why is it the prices down in Fla. always seem higher than anywhere else in the country?
Because you have deep water ports
We are down $10 to $165NT on sheet iron at the yard closest to me. There is a yard a few miles away (about 15 miles) paying $180, but it isn't worth the gas to go down for my weights.
#1 ICW 70% is still at 1.60/lb
car/truck batteries still at $0.20/lb.
St. Pete. Fl. Stripped 15# of copper 1 last night only to discover the price dropped over the weekend from 2.80# to 2.60#.
Prices have stayed the same where i am at on the Michigan/Ohio border.
Well here it is, the end of Oct. and my prices went from 165 per ton to 207 per ton. For shred that is.
Ive Noticed Aluminum has been steadily Increasing over the last week or two here..Nice to see as I have a decent amount to cash in:)
Just because we have the shipping port in tampa. but if your not close to it im still getting 160$ a ton for shred just like its been all year long......... and everything else is dropping as well its wonderful.
