    Check for Fall bulk pick-up

Last night I noticed the city over from me was doing a fall-clean up . Check your area and surrounding areas if they are doing one.

I am about to do one in conjunction with the recycle club at the local high school in november. Should be fun. We will do the neighboring county that is also associated with the club in jan or feb.

Consulting my spreadsheet, xmas lights never really slowed down for me all year. At the end of every month, I clean out all the bins, regardless of content, and run to the yard. It's where my wife's car note comes from. Probably be paid off in 2 1/2 years at the current rate! Anyway... here's the totals month by month this year:

    26 ….. dec
    22 ….. jan
    6 ….. feb
    42 ….. mar
    10 ….. apr
    33 ….. jun
    34 ….. jul
    30 ….. aug
    18 ….. sep
    36 ….. oct

The bin weighs 42 pounds, 6 tare means there's already 36 pounds this month. Which would be 257# for the trailing year with a month-and-a-half to go.

i think its gonna be pretty thin this year factoring in the depth of the recession (high unemployment, low spending) and how thin the curbs have already been this year

One of the accounts I have a local township that does a fall and spring cleanup. After they do the cleanup, I go in and pick up everything for electronics that was brought in. Just a couple weekends ago I got a computer that I am currently using. Only thing wrong with it was that it would blue-screen on boot up. The guy I work through there takes in all the tin and other metals that come in. I just get the electronics, but it is a start.
