The title says it all What's the best method of removing ceramic/fiber processors and integrated circuits from PCB?
Thanks in advance for the help! I've been making quite a mess trying to figure it out

I think Bear had the idea to put a layer of sand into a shallow pan, and heat the pan/sand with the circuit board laying face up on the sand. Lift the IC's right out.
Also could use a solder iron and a solder sucker.

Use gloves and a pair of pliers when picking them up out of the sand bath. Kepp a pan or bucket next to you and tap the board on side of pan and all surface mount devices should fall off the board. Keep a small strainer handy so you can sift the sand afterwards to recover the solder. Some of it may be silver/tin or just tin, but either way its metal that can be recycled.
Be careful not to burn the boards as they will release fumes you don't want to breath in and as always do this outside. You can do this on a bbq grill using lp gas or on a charcoal grill but keep the pan as close to the heat as you can to keep the temp up and even.
The pan should also be stainless or cast iron not aluminum. Aluminum has a low melting temp and will eventually fail and cause a mess.

Sorry, I was mistaken as to who had posted this originally.
If your only doing a few then you can use solder wick from RS or other supply houses. It is a braided copper with a drawing agent added and when you set it on the solder and apply heat, the wick will draw the solder up into the wick. When a small spot is used up, cut it off and recycle. Thanks, is there anything besides solder sucker that the solder would stick to or be drawn to?
the sand method is one of the easiest ways if you want to just pull most or all of the chips, ect...there are several videos on Youtube about it...basically you use a shallow baking pan and then about 1/2" of so of sand...
If you just have a few, then a solder gun or a heat gun, but takes alot more time....granted for some things like motherboards, weight is a good thing, BUT many of the smaller flat pack chips are worth FAR more (the ones with the little gold arrow I get like $30/lb
here are a couple of them:
