My local yard, in ky,the one I deal with most often calls the alum wire with coating on it acsr and it is .20/lb. If it has steel strand in center then it is irony alum, .17/ lb. If clean of coating and no steel, then they pay extrusion price, .63/lb. Another yard is a little different. If it has coating and no steel, then its unclean, .45/lb. If it is clean of coating but has steel it is unclean, as long as it is cut into 3 foot or less, otherwise it is irony, .14/lb. If it is all clean, they give clean extrusion price, .61/lb. If u cut it into 4 foot or less, then they pay an extra 6 cents on the pound, making it .69/lb. The reason they pay extra for it being cut is because they place it in large boxes to ship. They have to cut it up to get it in those boxes flat to get the most in a box. They will pay u for cutting it up!!! Best advice I can tell u is call around to different yards and describe to them what u have, and get prices. Be sure u describe it, and not call it a certain name because sometimes different yards call the same thing different names. Hope this helps u a little and don't confuse u more than u already were. Good luck
