    Got a old monitor today

Today I noticed my elderly neighbor putting a computer tower out with her trash so I walked over and asked if I could have it. She said yes. Its a dell inspirion 3000. Anyway a few minutes later she asked me if I wanted the monitor and also gave me a 1995 Hewlett Packard monitor.now I've been scraping for years but am curious about escrap mainly the gold and silver attraction. Anyway tomorrow ill get to digging into these. Any tips? Or pointers on escrap. Are Monitors like t.v. sets with copper yokes and stuff?

Experience is the best teacher. But as a hint - I charge $10 to TAKE a monitor. Check the hazardous waste disposal laws for your state.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Monitors are the only thing I will pass by on the road. I will not pick them up or take them for free . I will charge people if I had to like mick does
