Hello!
Polecat here, Just wondering if Capacitors are worth removing?
Do they have any value to them? Should I take them off delicately or be more conservative with my time and not worry about damage?

Hello Polecat,
tantal capacitors are worth removing them, but you will need a lot of them to collect a quantity worth selling.
Tantal is worth about 235$ / lb and most tantal capacitors are around 25% tantal. So the price I get from my dealer is 50-80$ / lb.
Not every capacitor is tantal ! google it
pictures Roudeleiw?
what are flux capacitors worth and what do they look like.

Remember, you also need 1.21 gigawatts to power the flux capacitors.
How are people storing their tiny circuit board components? Someone mentioned using pill containers, which sounds like a decent idea. Do you keep all the different items in their own containers, or try to lump things?
We just had somebody on here the other night that buys Tantalum Capacitors. They ranged from 21.00#-78.00# if I remember right. I think he has a thread in the buyers section.
Yep, he's in the buyers section. Florida- Tantalumrecycler

Right; some of these things, esp ewaste, are so tiny. It's confounding. I am using baggies for some things, and prescription containers, and jam jars, and those steel cookie containers that used to have holiday butter cookies in them.
I will check out the bucket thread now.
hek yes, coffee cans, ice cream buckets, peanut tins, the list could be endless
There is no wrong bucket/container. I use mason jars for certain items, like eproms. Once it's full I find a larger container. I do that with a lot of things. I have mini OMG IT"S GOLD™ containers for the smaller gold items. Otherwise they get lost in the bigger ones.
Cookie tins are a good idea. I use those for my gold connecters, parts from harddrives I save. I use a old plunger to hold the discs, that handle is useful! Should see the look I get once it's full an I bring it up stairs to show off to the wife. She just rolls her eyes an tells me she's happy for me. lol.
