A tip for getting additional money from scrapping Laptops and Computers !

    Hey guys,
I found this out a couple of weeks ago,
on every Laptop, there is a sticker with the seriel number from the windows operating system ( look at the picture )

    I sell them on Ebay, Vista for about 7 - 8$ and Windows 7 for 10 - 15 $. I then send the codes via E-Mail.

I hope you like the tip.

Be warned that doing this could cost you a lot in legal fees if Microsoft catches you.

ONLY if the machine is not destroyed in the process and the receiving machine did not come with a windows product already. License is just that...transferrable. OEM pays for licenses in quantity at massive discount, just like refurbishers get big discounts (often 80%, myself included)

If you look at that sticker closely, it says "label not to be sold separately". I think that explains it pretty clearly. I don't care what anyone says, you are not supposed to sell the labels.

I've been selling on ebay for about 4 or 5 years, and if they see that you are sending it via EMAIL they will cancel the listing and it's a mark against your account. They did it to me when I tried selling some game card I got and figured it would be easier to just email it. May not happen, but just be aware that it could.

Have seen them selling on ebay with a stick of ram included.
